Due to millions of Americans being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Salvation Army is starting its Red Kettle Campaign early this year.
The Salvation Army officially kicking off its Rescue Christmas national campaign Monday with an online fundraiser. Due to a number of factors related to the pandemic, including social distancing rules, fewer holiday shoppers at stores, and greater demand for assistance, The Salvation Army expects Red Kettle contributions to be impacted. While you won't see bell ringers out and about until November, you can donate online to The Salvation Army.
"These funds raised during the kettle campaign help place presents under the tree, put food on the table, help to pay bills, and provide shelter for those without a home
The Salvation Army budget comes from the Red Kettles to help provide emergency services, food assistance, housing services, youth programming, emergency disaster services, seasonal assistance and spiritual care. Nationally, 82 cents of every dollar donated to The Salvation Army goes directly toward funding their initiatives. All of that money stays within the local community in which it was given.

About the Boyertown Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of Boyertown seeks opportunities to come alongside people in the community to provide hope, healing, and help. Our main mission is to provide physical, spiritual, and emotional support, all done in the name of Jesus.

Food Pantry and Hot Meal programs

The Boyertown Salvation Army provides food to people in 11 local ZIP codes that have over 35,000 people living in our region.

Food insecurity is everywhere. Every day, more than 48 million Americans face the threat of hunger. This occurs in every county in the United States.

There are people who will starve to death today. There are people who have to eat mud pies daily. We don’t truly understand how blessed we are in America. As Christians we are to feed the poor and help people who are in need. Feeding the needy is part of serving one another and as we serve others we are serving Christ.

Please help us help your neighbor! We always need canned food, soup and more!
This is also a great way to volunteer and help give back!

Church and more!

No Judgment Zone!

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Donation Bin

The Salvation Army is a charitable organization that provides clothing bins at the rear of our building. This program provides support to needy families and senior citizens.

We accept both monetary and in-kind donations. In-kind donations are basically clothing goods that are in like new- serviceable condition and can be used by others.

Simple act of kindness that really helps many others!

Red Kettle Program

The red kettle is the gateway to giving for people of all ages. When you put money in a Salvation Army red kettle, you help meet needs right in your community.

Change goes in and change comes out. By donating, you help change a hungry stomach to a full one. You help change sleeping outside to sleeping with a roof over a person’s head. You help change the direction of a child’s life through good role models and structured activities.

When you see a red kettle between Thanksgiving and Christmas, please dig deep and know you are making a difference

It is truly a blessing to be a part of this "Faith in Action" type program that shares God's love and at the same time helps people in need as a true act of kindness and compassion.

The Boyertown Salvation Army has become to me one of the strongest examples of "what would God do" in so many situations. Everything from helping children going back to school to helping families when natural disasters happen to them. When so many find themselves in trouble, or need, the Boyertown Salvation Army is there to offer a hand.

The Boyertown Salvation Army, to me, is a place of refuge. A place that anyone can go and be a part of something bigger... Heart to God, hand to man. “What so ever you do to the least of my brothers, you’ve done to me!”

Randy Graber

Advisory Board member
